Welcome to this weekend’s Sunday Online at Encounter Vineyard. If you are here for the first time, thank you for joining us. We are thrilled that you want to be part of this celebration. If you are a part of our regular extended family then welcome back!

This weekend we are continuing our new series ‘Hearts of Gold.’ In this series we are exploring how generosity is at the very core of the Christian faith. We are reminding ourselves that Jesus was the One who gave everything for us, so in turn, we are exploring how and why we give our all to Him. We are particularly focussing on how we can demonstrate His goodness in our lives as an act of worship to Him and how to be of service to those around us.

Today in our celebration Mark is bringing a message called ‘Avoiding Comparison.’ He will be reflecting on how the world of social media can leave so many of us feeling empty and we can often think that ‘the grass is greener’ on the other side! He will be looking at how we can avoid the ‘pull’ of comparison and unlock greater generosity and contentment in our lives.

Finally, if you live locally and usually worship with us in the building, please remember that next weekend is Remembrance Sunday and there will be no celebration in the building or online. Instead, we will gather with the other churches at the War Memorial in Abbey Terrace at 10.30am
