Welcome to Sunday Online at Encounter Vineyard this weekend and thank you for joining us for our message in serving.

Our Sunday celebrations give us the opportunity to gather together, either online or in the building, to experience being part of deep community, encounter God together and be equipped for daily living.

Last Wednesday was Ash Wednesday, which means we are now in the season of Lent. This means that we are now on our collective Lenten Journey where we are working our way through Marks Gospel, both day by day and at our weekend celebrations.

You can be part of a day-by-day Lenten journey, either by going online or receiving the material by being on our mailing list. Better still, you might like to pick up hard copies from the church building on a Sunday.

This Sunday Mark starts our new series Sovereign, which will take us all the way through to Easter. We will be exploring how Jesus was, by very nature, God! And how He was The King, adorned in royal majesty, who set aside His royal robes and exchanged them for the garments of a slave. This series will be exploring themes in Mark’s Gospel and especially how The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve. The series looks at how He was the ‘Upside Down’, ‘Inside Out’, Saviour. How He sought out the least and the lost and chose humility over honour. Ultimately, how He was the ‘Servant King.’

Our hope is that, as we journey with Jesus through the Gospel of Mark together, we will be made more like Him.
