I have read and re-read this book on a number of occasions. It is one of the most helpful, inspiring and ‘soul-feeding; books I have. The first copy I bought and read was heavily underlined and very well worn!

The author, Bill Johnson, is the senior pastor of Bethel Church in Redding, California. I believe he is a man who lives a rich life in the things of the ‘Spirit’ and uses Heaven’s reality as his model for life and ministry. 

In this book Bill Johnson talks about King David, and how he strengthened himself in the Lord when everything seemed to be going against him. Through personal experience, he talks about what it takes to strengthen yourself in the Lord. The book is deep and full of revelation and words of wisdom that are life changing. 

In an era when believers are faced with situations unknown fifty, thirty, even twenty years ago, Strengthen Yourself in the Lord is a book that helps us navigate the challenges and complexities of life. This is a book I highly recommend.
